Hello Experts,

On going through the ISE profiling guide its states under System Query that

Q1. Does that mean each PSN will poll each NAD ? If so what does *Originating Policy Services Node configured as "Auto" mean under NAD configuration?

Our observation is that a switch is receiving lot of SNMP queries from various PSNs even if PSN is not mentioned in radius servers of that switch and customer has raised concerns of unnecessary SNMP traffic.

Q2. We have about 37 PSNs in a distributed environment. How would ISE PSNs poll a particular NAD in this environment ?

I responded to your original post System and Interface SNMP Query Probes in ISE 1.4

Nope. If "auto", then it depends on which PSNs in the deployment have SNMP probe enabled. This does not refer to the RADIUS server configured on the switches or controllers. When many PSN nodes, the election is done automatically.

Thanks for your response

We have SNMP probe enabled on each of the 37 PSNs.

In this case what role would "auto" play in polling the NADs ?

Just want to understand election process of PSNs in polling when you say "the election is done automatically".
