Hi everyone

We have a customer, about 10 libraries, that use Aerohive in concert with and Integrated Library System (ILS) to perform authentication off wlan, and provide granular access based on the type of user. Sounds like an ISE use case, but I wonder if we support the SIP2 protocol that is in use.

Please see here for Aerohive information: http://www.altaware.com/v/aerohive/ils/

And a bit more info on interaction with SIP2 here: http://www.slideshare.net/altaware/sip2-for-ils

The ILS SaaS in use is: http://www.sirsidynix.com/

Can we fulfill this use case?

Have we done this before?

Keenly await any response J

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark,

ISE does not support SIP2.

For a list of all supported protocols, see the ISE Compatibility Guides. ISE typically does this kind of attribute filter and query via AD or LDAP and now ODBC in ISE 2.1.

If the ILS system from SirsiDynix supports a standard LDAP interface then it would be possible to do an attribute fetch and comparison. Since they have many products, I wasn't sure which is the one in use and if it supports LDAP.
