topic ISE SNMP receiver in Network Access Control

Hi.

I want to hear this forum about how the ISE can receive SNMP message from Swith or Router? I am interested to send LINKUP and LINKDOWN messages to my ISE server so I can monitor my SNMP messages from the ISE GUI or CLI. But I cannot find any documentation about how to setup this on ISE. The only thing I found about snmp for ISE is the profilling functionality.

Is this possible with ISE? If yes. How to ?

While up-down events are sent

While up-down events are sent to ise as part of the trustsec universal switch config, ise is not a network management/monitoring system, so you won't get very good use out of it for that.

SNMP probe is one among the several probes that ISE use for profiling service. ISE is not meant for monitor functions its a radius server. Following link explains how ISE uses SNMP probe

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ise/1.0/user_guide/ise10_prof_pol.html#wp1341385
