topic Cisco ISE and IMEI integration for mobile onboarding in Network Access Control

I've been challenged with building an onboarding procedure for mobile phones, using ISE and WLC for redirecting unknown devices to a onboarding website.

The MAC address for uniquely identifying the device have been scrapped in favor of the IMEI number, but searching online, reading the admin guide only gave me the option of having a 3rd party MDM server which to lookup the devices IMEI. Have anyone tried to acquire the IMEI number only using the ISE and WLC constellation?

Kind Regards Bo

Hi,

As far as i'm aware, without MDM integration you can't get the IMEI; what you can get is the device UID or DUID.

Regards,

Cristian Matei.

Hi Cristian, thank You very much. Then I'll think of another way of solving the onboarding process.
