ISE 2.1 version convention

Hi Guys

sometimes one can find himself in front of dilemma like i had: i need to migrate ISE 2.1(0.474) patch 8 to 2.1(0.905). R there any ideas how to achieve it? :0)

i have already latest available for 2.1(0.474) patch 8 installed. The Q is how i can reach 2.1(0.905) from this point? did i miss something in article u've sent?

as per OP - FROM SE 2.1(0.474) patch 8 TO 2.1(0.905) - so i have suggested download and patch as per the procedure mentioned in the document ?

or i may be misunderstood your question completely different please clarify.

'from this point' means from 2.1(0.474) patch 8 (where my cube is now). to target of exactly 2.1(0.905) as per just f.e. https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvc65379/?rfs=iqvred (Known Fixed Releases:... 2.1(0.905) ...)

Is 2.1(0.905) equivalent to 2.1(0.474) patch 8?

Hi @Andrii Oliinyk

The bug you reference is already fixed in the version you are running. What you are referencing are Cisco internal build numbers.

According to the release notes it got fixed in patch 4.

Patch 4 = 2.1(0.904)
Patch 5 = 2.1(0.905)

you are running 2.1(0.908) = Patch 8

For example: If we check another bug like CSC vg86743, then the release notes say that it got fixed in patch 8 and bug tracker says its fixed in 2.1(0.908).

I don't know how it works in later versions.

good to know about this convention. still not clear how Cisco select 1st digit after "(0." though ;0)
