Hi,

I want to do dynamic VLAN assignment for wireless ( the wlc is 5760),

The question is what interface I have to choose on wlc under ssid

And I have some old switches on the access side , it is possible dynamic vlan assignemt with ols ios

Hi @bluesea2010,

I believe you can choose whichever interface you want for this, as ISE will reassign VLAN anyway. Probably it makes most sense to use interface which should be most native for this setup, and for which most users would be assigned to anyway, so that WLC doesn't have to do anything upon receiving authoriyation from ISE.

Regarding old swtiches, there is a compatibility matrix for supported devices and minimum required SW version for it, so you should start from there. Please note that each ISE version has its own compatibility matrix, so you should take that into consideration as well.

For starting, we have an onboarding vlan we start the device on, this is where wo do any posturing or checks before changing vlans and is the most restricted access.

As for Switches, Milos gave the best answer on them.
