Yes I actually did but we were just collecting some logs for the users & odd thing was that according to the TAC the users were showing up as disabled even though they were in active or created state.

So as I saw these odd things happening, I decided to rollback ISE to patch 3 & that resolved everything. I will update the TAC today on this as well.

Hi Experts!

I am currently running the latest ISE 3.0 patch 4 on my client's Cisco ISE. All of a sudden, an error has started to pop-up on the guest login portal after the client successfully authenticates. Which states "Error Loading Page".

We tried many different portals but all in vain, this has started to happen on all the guest portals.

Any ideas how to get rid of this?

Did this only start after applying patch 4? Or was it always like this?

It could be an indication that the post-authentication ACL that is sent to the WLC (is this wireless) or the dACL is not allowing access to the ISE PSN portal. e.g. you should always permit the client to access PSN(s) TCP/8443 even after authentication. TCP/8443 is the default port - adjust this port number if your config differs.

It might also indicate that DNS resolution is not working - although that would be strange - the DHCP and DNS status before login, and after login should never change. Check also that DNS is allowed in the ACL post-auth.

Thanks for the reply Arne.

We rollbacked to patch#3 of ISE via the CLI command " patch remove ise 4", after the reboot everything was working fine. No more errors popped up!

So the patch#4 has some issues I guess.

Hi, just for curiosity.

We have ise 3.0 and patch 7. After successful login, user saw this same error message Error Loading Page. I went to show logging application guest.log and I found out Error msg like Software Error.

I decided from my previous experiences to try to duplicate guest portal with new name, re-assign authorization results portals to duplicated one, than I removed old portal and finally renamed duplicated one to the same name of already deleted one, auth results are automatically reassigned to new name.

Voila it helped me.

I know this is an older thread, just posting to help others, but we recently ended up with the same condition after an unrelated change required an ISE application restart. After which, the Guest portals displayed the "error loading this page" message after a successful login. Going to each portal setup and simply saving cured it for us. No changes were made to the portal settings... just a save. Running ISE 3.2.0.542 Patch4

Just had the same issue of guest users getting "error loading this page" after ISE reboot. Version 3.3 . As suggested just going into the portal settings and saving it without changes resolved the problem. Appreciate Rob sharing this.
