I'm running ISE 2.6 with patch 3,7. I just applied log4j patch. If I upgrading to ISE3.1, do I have to re-patch log4j again ?

Yes, you will have the run the ISE 3.1 log4j fix. Same applies if you were upgrade from 2.4 to 2.7 as well, you would have to re apply the log4j hotfix.

The fix will eventually be included in the regular patches, at which point the hotfix will not be required, just a standard patch level that eventually includes it, but until that point the hotfix is required.

After the upgrade, you need to apply the patch again.
