ISE Agentless posture - user authentication or machine authentication

Dear community,

Does cisco ISE Agentless service utilize user AuthC or machine AuthC? I am asking this due to the fact that I have a Usecase were only machine AuthC is being used, thus wiling to know if I will be able to use Agentless posture in this Usecase.

Hi Laura,

I've tested this as part of a deployment and user or machine cert will work fine as long as it's being presented when a user is logged in to the device. I.e if you're logged in and authenticate to your network with a machine or user cert it will be ok.

If a machine is authenticating before a user has logged in it won't work.

If I used "computer or user authentication", machine always will authenticate before user..

please share more information about it.
