New Style and Legacy Config-Mode

Hallo,

I am finding it difficult to understand these two configuration modes even after reading the Cisco documentation on it. Could anyone kindly explain this to me in layman's term. Thank you

R1#authentication display config-mode
Current configuration mode is legacy

R5# authentication display config-mode
Current configuration mode is new-style

@abc1235 this is referring to the IBNS related configuration command syntax of the switches. With new-style referring to IBNS 2.0, which allows for templates (which reduces configuration complexity) and differentiated authentication amongst other features. This is to enable C3PL, or more precisely, if C3PL is enabled, then new-style is used. Otherwise, legacy is used.
