ISE 3.3 P10 Not showing authentication in Live Logs/Report

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I’m experiencing a strange phenomenon in my ISE Live logs. I can only see the successful sessions, but not the successful authentications (green check mark). Also in Reports->Endpoints-> RADIUS Authentications i only get "No data found".

My current version is 3.3 Patch 10, 2 PAN, 2 PSN & 2 Monitoring Nodes (4x3755, 2x3655), and I have already tried the following:

- Health Check has only green check marks

- New RootCa Chain + new ISE Massaging Cert

- show disk -> max 26% utilization

- enabled & disabled ISE Massaging Service

- Settings -> Protocols -> Radius: disabled "Suppress Repeated Failed Clients" etc.

- reboot the hole deployment

Do you have any idea what else I could try here? Thx!

There was a similar bug related to your issue that has been resolved in ISE 3.3 patch 10. To verify if you are encountering the same problem, please run the command show logging application collector.log | include "ORA-01658" on your Monitoring Node (MnT) and check if you see an error similar to the following:

ERROR [IMS System AcsSyslog store][[]] cisco.mnt.collection.syslog.AcsSyslogCollectionFailure -::::::- SQLException sent to the Collection Failure Alarm by Collector:java.sql.SQLException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace MNTNS

This will help confirm whether the issue is present on your system.

The issue you are encountering, where the "ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace MNTNS" error persists despite applying Cisco ISE 3.3 Patch 10 (which the release notes indicate resolved this issue), suggests that the patch installation may not have fully addressed the underlying tablespace or database allocation problem on the Monitoring Node (MnT).
In my capacity, I can only suggest that please confirm that the patch installation was successful by verifying the installed patch version on the ISE server. You can verify the patch version by running the show version command on all ISE nodes in the deployment.

If issue persists after checking the patch installation, I would suggest you to engage TAC.

Do update here, once you got a resolution 🙂
