Hi,

A simple answer would be no i.e ACS does not support interoperability between ACS 5.4 and ACS 5.5 deployments. For upgrade procedure please look at the link below:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5-5/installation/guide/csacs_book/csacs_upg.html#pgfId-1199565

Visit section:

Upgrading an ACS Deployment from 5.4 to 5.5

Normally you should break the cluster and upgrade the secondary servers and then primary.

Regards,

Kanwal

Note: Please mark answers if they are helpful.

Interoperability between ACS versions

I have 6 inter-connected ACS appliances used for RADIUS authentication of wireless users. Currently they are running v5.4 and need to upgrade to v5.5. It would be difficult to upgrade them at the same time since they are in different regions in the world. Are there known interoperability issues between v5.4 and v5.5?

Thanks for the feedback. That was helpful. I see that v5.6 is out. Any issues with 5.6? Looks like I can follow the same upgrade steps from 5.4 to 5.6.
