enable view command

Hello,

I just want to know if the command "enable view" requires AAA configuration in IOS 12.3 release or only password.

Appears tthat in 12.4 release, AAA configuration is required as you can see

NR-2851-2#enable view
% AAA must be configured.

Yes, it looks like AAA configuration is required in ios 12.3 release.

Before you create a view, you must perform the following tasks:

•Enable AAA via the aaa new-model command. (For more information on enabling AAA, see the chapter "Configuring Authentication" in the Cisco IOS Security Configuration Guide, Release 12.3.

•Ensure that your system is in root view—not privilege level 15.
