Hi All,

We are running PSN's as a seperate VM's and able to see the logs relating to ISE M&T Log Processor,ISE M&T Log Collector, ISE M&T Session Database as not running.

Any idea why these are being generetad since no monitoring persona is being running in PSN node. How do we stop these being sent to a syslog server?

Thanks in advance

Mnt node collects logs for all PSN's in the depoyment. Do you mean your PSN is sending logs directly to a syslog server

Hi Thanks for getting back

Yes, external syslog server reports that, the source host as PSN IP sending the above messages. Is this normal?

Thanks

This is a 5 year old question you bumped. But as you identified, each PSN sends syslogs directly to both MNT nodes in the deployment. If you configure an external syslog target then the PSN's will still send sysogs to the MNTs, but they will now also send syslogs directly to the external syslog target. This is by design.
