You need to connect via the console port using a rolled cable. If you don't have the password then follow the password recovery process.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/34.shtml

Then from privaliged mode run "write erase" to clear the config, or run "setup" to overwrite with a basic configuration.

** Please rate if helpfull **

Amit;

In order to configure/manage the Pix device through a Web browser, several things are required:

http server enable

http a.b.c.d n.n.n.n Outside

(where a.b.c.d n.n.n.n is the IP address of another network or host which you will be permitting to connect to the Pix from the Outside)

It is also advisable to add users to the local database (or use AAA authentication) in order to identify and authenticate yourself to the firewall.

Also, depending upon the version of the code on the firewall, you will also need to have MS Internet Explorer, and an appropriate Java runtime installed on the computer from which you will connect to the firewall. Version 6.x of the Pix code will use PDM, whereas Version 7.x will use the ASDM.

Please rate if helpful,

Carl
