Hello everyone !

I have 2 Pix 515 here in production, each one for an internet line.

For six month , i have serious trouble with the one connected to the bussyiest one : every 1-2 weeks it reloads itself most often at the worst moment, where hundreds of client are connected ;(

Sure it reloads fast but every connection is lost and clients are to reconect...

I have an Backup unit with the same caracteristics so i put it online ...

3 weeks after ... reload in the middle of the morning ,(

Failover is not really a solution as i don't have an free ethernet for state failover (using all 4 zones).

Tried to implement syslog but it seems to be verrrryyyy slow as my syslog server where receiving msg from the pix that were 2-3 hours late ???

Couls that be an firware issue ? I use 7.0(1) and idon't have anymore CCO access so i can upgrade to 7.22 ;(

Any idea ?

Here's the spec of one :

-----------------

FWGLI-EASYNET# show memory

Free memory: 95268744 bytes (71%)

Used memory: 38948984 bytes (29%)

------------- ----------------

Total memory: 134217728 bytes (100%)

FWGLI-EASYNET# show version

Cisco PIX Security Appliance Software Version 7.0(1)

Device Manager Version 5.0(1)

Compiled on Thu 31-Mar-05 14:37 by builders

System image file is "flash:/pix701.bin"

Config file at boot was "startup-config"

FWGLI-EASYNET up 1 hour 59 mins

Hardware: PIX-515, 128 MB RAM, CPU Pentium 200 MHz

Flash i28F640J5 @ 0x300, 16MB

BIOS Flash AT29C257 @ 0xfffd8000, 32KB

0: Ext: Ethernet0 : media index 0: irq 11

1: Ext: Ethernet1 : media index 1: irq 10

2: Ext: Ethernet2 : media index 2: irq 9

3: Ext: Ethernet3 : media index 3: irq 7

Licensed features for this platform:

Maximum Physical Interfaces : 6

Maximum VLANs : 25

Inside Hosts : Unlimited

Failover : Active/Active

VPN-DES : Enabled

VPN-3DES-AES : Enabled

Cut-through Proxy : Enabled

Guards : Enabled

URL Filtering : Enabled

Security Contexts : 2

GTP/GPRS : Disabled

VPN Peers : Unlimited

This platform has an Unrestricted (UR) license.

-----------------

I have no clue...
