Sourcefire is not adding into firepower

Dear Community,

I have FMC install on ESXI. FMC and Sourcefire both are on the same vlan. When i install the new FMC on ESXI, Sourcefire added normally on the FMC but policy was not deploying, So when i try to re-add the Sourcefire now the Sourcefire is not adding.

Please help what is causing the problem.

What is the software version of FMC and FTD ?

Also are you able to telnet from FTD to FMC on port number 8305 ?

You did say that you already added sourcefire to FMC. Did you delete it
cleanly and try to readd.? Try to use different IP and see if it works. I
have seen cases where old FMCs don't clear the database properly when you
delete and device

Yes. Sourcefire adds on FMC normally on the first attempt but policies were
not deploying so i try to readd the device. But then the device is not
adding.

what should be the problem?
