topic Problem with FTD device PPPOE connection default route in Network Security

Hi all

I have an ASA 5506X running the FTD image but im having issues with the default route. The device is running latest software 6.2.3.4 and managed by FMC running 6.2.3 also.

The internet connection is provided over PPPoE, with dynamic IP. I receive a dynamic IP OK but I don't get the default route. I can't configure this static because it is changing when the internet connection drops, firewall is rebooted, etc.

In the ASA there is an option in ASDM for "Obtain default route using PPPoE" but this option does not exist in the FMC. If I try to ping an internet ip e.g. 8.8.8.8 I get the error "no route to host"

Any help greatly appreciated as I cannot continue with my deployment
