topic PIX IPpool and DNS in Network Security

Well, this is my first Pix experience, and after reading through the doc, I am still with some questions.

In the network diagram I send you, have the pix outside interface (to DMZ) to be announced in a public DNS for me to have access to the internet, or to make a VPN from the Pix?

I have found that the outside interface IP of the Pix have to be configured in an inside DNS, communicating with a root DNS their reverse DNS entries, else the internet would be slow and the FTP request would fail.

If it is true, can it be done without beginning to interact with my ISP DNS, or on a simpler way?

(Maybe putting the MODEM as gateway and forgetting about the DMZ?)

An other point is apart for VOIP and SecIP, is there a risk with the 2 consecutive PAT?

I am a bit confused here, if someone can help?

Great thanks anyway.

Regards.
