Firepower VM updates confusion

Hi All,

I noticed today that 6.5.0 version of Firepower was released:

I went to my FMC to check for updates, but it only had an update to 6.4.0.6, which I installed.

I am running virtual FMC.

I checked again, but the update to 6.5.0 does not show up.

I had that once in the past, and at that time I downloaded the update from Cisco.com website. Now I tried to do the same, but it tells me I need more permissions.

I had a contract associated with my account, but apparently it is now expired. Is this true that I have to buy another contract to be able to get updates for Firepower?

I already pay for the URL/AMP licenses and paid for FMC before, do I need another thing?

Exactly you need to purchase Smartnet for your FMC, AMP , or URL filtering.

Once you get your sales order number that included the FMC, the TAC can associate your cisco.com userid with that and you should then have rights to download the software
