Firepower 2130 and Firesight. Reimage or upgrade need to get to 6.2.2?

Hi and thanks for your help.

We have a pair of new Firepower 2130s with FTD 6.2.1 and a Firesight VMWare system going in.

What is the best way to get the 2130's to 6.2.2? We already installed the Firesight Management Center with 6.2.2 and it would not let us associate the endpoints due to the version mismatch.

All the documentation I find is for re-imaging ASA's devices to FTD.
Should we install FMC 6.2.1 and then upgrade both? I see a lot of hotfixes, so would like to stay away from several patches.

Hi,

I you sure you are getting version mismatch, what is the error message?
FTD 6.2.1 should be compatible with FMC 6.2.2 if I'm not wrong.
Failed connection to FMC might throw you weird error messages even if it's the key that is mismatched.

As Micke noted FMC 6.2.2. is definitely compatible with sensors running FTD 6.2.1.

Your Firepower 2130s (assuming they are running FTD) can only be running 6.2.1 or 6.2.2 as the initial release for that platform is 6.2.1.

Just figure out the registration issue and then upgrade them to 6.2.2 from FMC. Post the exact error you are seeing here if you'd like help with that.
