The price of Failover?

Does anyone know if there are plans to use the USB ports on the ASA5500 Series as the failover interface medium?

To my mind (apart from the IP bit) it would be similar to a cable-based ACTIVE/STANDBY failover scenario.

I have extreme difficulty in burning one whole Gigabit Ethernet port per ASA to use as failover medium.

I use all four ports and all four have multiple sub-interfaces to a large range of separated DMZ networks.

Any ideas? Thoughts? Concerns? Worries? 🙂

Thanks...

Thanks Vibhor, although the answer was disappointing!

..And I suppose there aren't any plans to incorporate VRRP either? The native IOS for Cat Switches now plays nicely with VRRP so can we have it with our ASA's please??? 🙂
