In the document: FireSIGHT System User Guide Version 5.4.1 under section: Controlling Traffic Based on Users

What is being referred to as series 2 or x-series??? Is this a Firesight S/W version or:

1) Series 2 = ASA5585-SSP-SFR-5,10 (Firepower module)?

2) X-series = 5000x series FWs with Firepower support?

I am trying to determine if the 5585 with the SFR module will support user based access control the table seems to say no based on 1,2 assumptions above.

Series 2 and X-series are older Sourcefire and Bluecoat (with Sourcefire software) products.

All of the ASA-based FirePOWER service modules are capable of controlling traffic based on users (assuming you have the prerequisite LDAP connections and Sourcefire User Agent setup and working).
