      <description>&lt;P&gt;hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;we are configuring a PIX 525 and facing a prob that after assing the Ip add to an interface we have observed  that interfce is administravitivly Down  what can i do,,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have read on cisco site intsert new card in it and than use write mem for it i could nt unserstand it .. can you tell us abuot it..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;which new card ????&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks and regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;doind a no shut in the particular interface will not work for a firewall.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try the following syntax....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;interface &amp;lt; hardware_id&amp;gt; &lt;HARDWARE_SPEED&gt;&lt;/HARDWARE_SPEED&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;eg:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;interface ethernet0 100full&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;interface ethernet1 100full&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
