Firesight licensing

Hi ,

Can somebody answer me if the license for firesight virtual is incremental , meaning i can buy 2 FS-VMW-2-SW-K9 then i can manage 4 sensor with this server?

Just could not find this anywhere.

They are virtual appliances. If you bought two, you'd be managing two separate consoles.

No they are not. That license allows for 2 devices (ASA only)

If you license for 2 or 10, you can not manage physical sensors, only ASA virtual sensors.

I think i did not make myself clear ,

i would like to know if this PN are incremental ,

i installed a firesight server inicially for 2 asa sensors , but now i want to manage 2 more , can i go for the same part-number and get the license for 2 more ?

Second LIC will let you manage two more, but you will have 2 VM's to do the work from. No they are not incremental.

New license for 10 managed devices is needed.

Like Pavel said, the licenses are not incremental.

The list price for a 10-device license (FS-VMW-10-SW-K9) is only 2.5x that of a 2-device license (FS-VMW-2-SW-K9).
