I have a ASA 5510 configured for SSL Web VPN.I need to add Microsoft terminal service web client (TSweb) as a link in the Web VPN portal.

I can use the normal MS remote desktop client with 127.0.0.1:xxx but the non technical users are having hard time doing that.So i decided to try with terminal server web client which is web browser based.

I added http://myterminalserver/tsweb as one of the web vpn applications and defined port forwarding for port 3389, which is the remote desktop/terminal server port.

But when i click the connect button from the web vpn page to connect to a terminal server, it just stays there without opening the remote desktop dialogue.

Anybody done this type of applications in ASA ? help is much appreciated.

Hello,

Good solution but still you require the user to connect to localhost:xxx this is because after you enable the WebConsole for RDP when you press connect it still communicates with the server on port 3389. THis means instead of connecting to the remote server IP try to put localhost:xxxx and see if connects successfully.

Let me know the outcome of your test,

Regards,

Thats correct . I have configured port forwarding , so 127.0.0.1:40201 is forwarded to 10.150.20.21:3389.

This set up works perfectly with the normal RDP client , its the web interface based on tsweb thats giving me headache. 🙂

Thanks
