Sourcefire 3D Device S3 Upgrade from 5.3.0.8 to 5.4.0.

Hello! Try to update for more new version my sensor.

At first I try update from System-Updates-but i see that "No new updates currently available"

Ok!I downloaded Sourcefire 3D Device S3 Upgrade (version 5.4.0-763) and upload to updade center.

After that try to install update. ([ 7%] Running script 000_start/111_FS_integrity_check.sh...) after that I have error.

I have version of sensor - 5.3.0.8, may be i need to install another version (not 5.4.0.)? Thank you!

Hello Team,

The upgrade looks like failed in FS integrity check error. This will be same error even if you install 5.4.0 without resolving issue.

Could you please try running the following command and restart the upgrade.

Elevate to the root user and run the following command :-

touch /.skip_fsic

Please login to the CLI of the device to give us the required logs:

cd /var//log/sf/<5.4.0 Upgrade directory>

less status.log

This will help us understand at what point the upgrade has failed.

I have verified the errors.

This would mean that there are multiple files in the linux directory that have name patterns that are not supported. Removing these files should solve the problem.

Is your setup in HA by any chance ?

If so, 6.0 doesnt support HA setup.

Other than that if you are fine with 5.4.1.x latest code , then you can continue in that.

If you want you can continue with 6.0 also. You have to start preinstall and then the 6.0 patch.
