Why do I see more MAC Host than IP hosts?

My I am seeing far more MAC Hosts than IP hosts? I have two ASAs with FirePOWER at the DMZ. For example, I see HOST IPs 52, and Host (MAC) 3,237.

Hi,

Could you share which version are you running on firepower?

Generally , host profile shows large number of Mac due to arp traffic.

Try purging it and then check if list gets refreshed.

FirePOWER Console 4000 version 6.0.1. I had done the purging several times. In addition, I tried to find out the MAC address manufacturer, and nothing. It seems these MAC addresses are autogenerated.
