Firepower TAB in ASDM

Hi all,

I can't see the ASA Firepower configuration TAB in ASDM however the ASA Firepower Status is added in ASDM Home TAB.

That would mean that the PC where ASDM is running isn't able to communicate with firepower module.

Have you set up the firepower module with 1 of the following scenarios defined in this article.

Thank you for replying. In fact, i have no ip address or nameif in the management interface and it is connected to the Local Network behind the firewall.

You just need to make sure

You just need to make sure that the management IP on firepower module is in same network as internal network and gateway can be some internal layer 3 device or ASA inside interface itself.

If the management interface is connected to local network behind firewall, your pc should be able to ping the firepower and vice versa. you can also try to telnet on port 443.

I can ping firepower management interface and telnet or ssh a session to it. But when connecting by ASDM, the TAB of Firepower MOdule configuration is not appeared

What's your ASA model and software version for both firepower and ASA ?

Unless you are using ASA 5506/5508/5516 with 5.4 (firepower software), you cannot use ASDM before 6.0 on any other ASA model.

So in other words ASA 5506/5508/5516 with 5.4 can be managed by ASDM. All other models of ASA-Firepower needs to run minimum of Firepower 6.0 code to be managed by ASDM.

We have ASA5515-x with firepower module. The version of Firepwer module is 5.3.1.6 so we can't manage Firepower by ASDM?

Current, You need at least 6.0 version to be able to manage it via ASDM.
