topic Enable network module ports on IPS without Defense Center in Network Security

Hello,

I'm deploying an IPS8350/Defense Center solution, at the moment as I donI'm not able to reach the DC so I cannot control at all the IPS but I come up with a question, is there a way to bring up the interfaces of the IPS via CLI? I have done some research but have come up with nothing... I have two network modules but if I connect something they won't come up, have done some connectivity tests and so far the traffic is not going through the IPS.

I will be doing some changes on the failopen mode on the ports, which can be controlled via CLI and make some tests.

Thank you for reading!!

Hi,

Hi,

Yes you are right , there is no way to push the interface configuration to inline from CLI. Moreveover , also if you configure inline we would need to push policy etc which is only possible by DC. So we need to get the DC up and running and register the sensor on the DC.

Regards,

Aastha Bhardwaj

Rate if that helps!!!
