ASA 5506-x with FirePower (Images) Stuck in recovery and/or bad image

Have:

5506-X running 9.5-2 and also 9.4-2. SFR module images: 6.0.0-1005.img and .pkg

Issue:

When ASA is running 9.5-2 code, I successfully boot SFR using the 6.0.0 BOOT image. BUT when trying to install the PKG system install) - I get 'Upgrade Aborted" error message AFTER it downloads the image and verifies it.

When ASA is running 9.4-2 code, I successfully boot SFR using the 6.0.0 BOOT image. BUT when trying to install the PKG (system install) - I get to the point where it gives you : "reboot is required to complete the upgrade. Press "Enter" to reboot". BUT it never does. Module is stuck in "Recover" status and when session into it - its not responsive.

Looking at the release notes for 6.0.0 - it seems to have 5506-x listed as supported for both 9.4.2 and 9.5.2 images.

Anyone run into this?

Hi,

Is it showing you console session ready ?

Also, did you try to reload the module once and test if that comes up ?

It actually came back online

It actually came back online with the 9.4.2 and 6.0.0 code after I woke up in AM. I guess the module took well over 45min to reload after .pkg install completed.

All working now on 9.4.2 and 6.0.0 set.

Great. yes, it does take some time to come back from recover state.
