Trouble in accessing the Cisco ISC 4.2 Application on Solaris Web Browser

hi,

i had successfully installed the Cisco ISC 4.2 on my SunFire V125 Server which is running on Solaris 10 and i was also successful to login to the ISC for the first time using the Solaris Java browser.

however, after i reboot the machine i could not access the ISC anymore and the error i was getting is as follows:

"The connection was refused when attempting to contact mdesvr:8030".

in my browser i entered the ff URL:

http://mdesvr:8030/isc/

where: mdesvr is the server name

8030 is the http port no.

i would appreciate it very much if anyone can help me in resolving this issue.

Hi,

Check that all processes are running post reboot. ISC may not have been configured to start automatically upon reboot. Check at $ISC_BASE/wdclient status. httpd process should be running correctly.

Configure https port as follows and then try connecting using https instead of http.

Step 1 Source the environment file, as follows:

For K shell: . $ISC_HOME/bin/vpnenv.sh

For C shell: source $ISC_HOME/bin/vpnenv.csh

Step 2 Run the command: configSecurePort.sh

where:

is the home directory for ISC, for example: /opt/isc-4.2

is the secure HTTPS port you want to use, for example: 8443.

is the name of the machine that ISC is installed on, for example: machinename.cisco.com.
