topic CiscoWorks 2.5 in Network Security

I've a variety of cisco switches (3524,3550,3560,3570, 6509) in our network, but I kept getting "partially success" in RME/Config Management/Archive Management. The error messaage is "Failed to fetch config using RCP.Connection refused: connect Verify RCP is enabled or not" when it comes to VLAN. It made no difference if I enabled RCP on the switches or not. I do not have the same problem with routers though..

Has anybody ever been able to get the switch config archived via CiscoWorks 2.5 successfully?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

TIA,

hieu

In order to archive the vlan.dat file you will need to make sure telnet or shh is enabled.

Also, have a look at the RME device attributes and see if any field is marked as "Default Not Defined". If so, correct this field and try again.
