We are getting ready to deploy 6 VPN 3000 in sets of 2 for fail-over. As part of this product we purchased VMS 2.1 under the impression that it provided a centralized management console for multiple VPN 3000 concentrators. However, I cannot find any component in VMS 2.1 that handles the actual configuration, only monitoring with the VPN monitor. All of the other configuration components seem to only work with Routers as VPN servers/clients. What am I missing? Does VMS 2.1 not provide a centralized management console for configuration of VPN 3000's?

Hi there,

VMS only helps you in configuring IOS based routers. There is no support for VPN3K in VMS.

you can, however, use VPN monitor to monitor the VPN connections

Jazib
