topic Vms Configuration in Network Security

Hi,

i Installed VMS, but i am not able to see any devices. I did enabled SNMP in pix. Does VMS detect devices automatically? I tried to detect device (ie our pix ) by putting ip in cisco view. Unable to detect it. Is there any specific docs how to do the initial setup of VMS so that it can detect devices automatically.

Thanks in advance

Sajin

I found the following URL that explains the setup of VMS. One thing I saw was that to install PIX MC you have to have Internet Explorer version 6.0 or 5.5 with Service Pack 2, and Java Virtual Machine (JVM) 5.00.3186 or later.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/cw2000_b/vpnman/vms_2_1/vmsqsg/ch02.htm#273668
