Hi All

I need to upgrade some firewalls currently running 8.4(7)30

I am looking to upgrade them to version 9.1.7.2

Can I go straight to that version without any issues? should I go to a newer version?

Many thanks

Carl

From that release you can directly upgrade to any 9.1(3) and later. Be aware that 9.1(7)2 does not contain the latest security-fixes. It's best to upgrade to the latest interims-version which is 9.1.(7)23 at the moment.

Given your current version you can upgrade straight away.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa91/release/notes/asarn91.html#pgfId-763574

Release 9.1(7.23) is the latest interim and would be the recommended version as it incorporates the latest available bug fixes.

https://www.cisco.com/web/software/280775065/131523/ASA-917-Interim-Release-Notes.html

It can be found here:
