topic Bind multiple interfaces on 5506-x in Network Security

Is it possible to bind multiple interfaces on the 5506-x into one logical interface? The office I am installing the 5506 has 3 PC's and one server. I will be putting the server in a DMZ area and I would like to use three physical interfaces on the ASA for the three PC's referencing the "inside" logical name. I am trying to eliminate a switch if possible and use the ASA as a switch. Thanks!

Hello Phil,

Yes you can!

Starting on version 9.7 you can use something named "BVI interface" where you can have multiple ports on the ASA on a defined VLAN/Subnet.

I believe this link should be good enough for you to start 🙂

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa97/configuration/general/asa-97-general-config/intro-fw.html

Any queries, let me know

Hi Julio,

This is what I needed. I will test and see how it works. Thanks!
