Database access slowness issue on ASA

Hi All,

We are using IBM Database studio to access Database server which works on Port 50000.

But we are facing lot of slowness while accessing server(lot of time to connect to server,facing slowness while executing any query) using Database studio.

During troubleshooting , i observed that database server is working fine within same LAN, no slowness issue observed.

Now i am confused what might be the issue.

Would be nice if we had a bit more information about the environment. Firewall usually are blamed but not always is guilt.

Some points you need to verify:

Look at ASDM logs and make sure not is being denied on this flow.

Make sure firewall interfaces, connection to switch and switch ports is not overload.

Make tests with ping between client and database and see how long packets take. Use different packets sizes on ping.
