Cisco 5506-x-FTD-X - VPN / HA etc

Hi All

We are looking at getting a HA pair of 5506 running the firepower threat defence image.

Can anyone tell me if this is stable and ready to use?

Can it do site to site vpn to none Cisco devices ?

Can they run in a HA pair?

FTD is not as mature and feature-rich as the ASA with the Firepower software-module. For "normal" needs I would assume FTD to be stable enough. That is if you don't mix too many different features. S2S VPNs to other vendors is possible. If you want use FTD, have a look at the HA-Bundle with the SKU ASA5506-FTD-HA-BUN. It's less costly compared to two individual appliances.

Yes, but it takes 5-10 minutos to apply chances on your policy

Can it do site to site vpn to none Cisco devices ?

Yes.

Can they run in a HA pair?

Yes.
