ASA with Firepower

Hello;

I am Erdenesukh Magsarjav who is system engineer of Civil Aviation Authority Mongolia.

Our organization have bought your system which ASA-5585-10CTRL-LIC next generation firewall with FMC. ASA5585 firewall IOS 9.2 version ,firepower version 6.1.0.-330 and FMC software version is 6.1.0-330.

Our problem is that we could not control network adapters with Firepower management center. It means we could not seen network adapter of firewall in firepower management center. So we could not configure our firewall network adapters.

what should we do in this situation.

A Firepower Management Center (FMC) does not manage the network adapters (interfaces) of an ASA with FirePOWER service module - only the access control and related policies for the module. You still manage the base ASA software and its hardware via the traditional command line interface or ASDM GUI.

Also you would typically have also purchased an IPS, URL filtering or Malware license to use those Firepower features. Please check your order for those.

The version number you you mention should be upgraded to more recent releases. What is installed at the factory is generally a year or more behind current release levels.

Finally have have you setup your system according to the Quick Start Guide?
