topic ASA Lost failover communication in Network Security

I have 2XASA5585-X firewalls in active/active failover mode, with 30 contexts. But we receive the following error message at irregular interval;

Lost Failover communications with mate on interface QUIDEV

Failover interfaces are GE0/0 and GE0/1

Cables are not directly connected between the firewalls, there is a DWDM device in between. We did check the logs from this DWDM platform but there are no events recorded there.

IP packet loss may not show up as an error on the intermediate DWDM platform.

One would have to debug the failover process on the ASA to get a detailed readout of what exactly the HA pair is seeing when the event occurs.
