topic ASA 5508 standby unit unavailable in Network Security

Hi all!

I've been working on a pair of ASA 5508-X in HA with FTD 6.5.x for a while now and keep strugling with connectivity with the standby unit. So I was hoping someone could provide some clues.

HA status is just fine and everything is working as intended except I can't reach http or SSH on the standby unit. Ping is OK so routing shouldn't be an issue.

I'm running management on a separate VLAN subinterface with primary and standby IPs in the same subnet as my management server. HTTP and SSH toward primary unit is never a problem, but standby unit is only responding to ping. Even after reload. Physical management interface is also working fine but this is not used unless I have to.

This is especially problematic in the case of HA pair firmware update as you need access to the standby unit.
