Hoping someone can shine a bit of light on this, our customer' equipment is supported through a support partner. We'd like to get the FMC under support before we upgrade it from version 5.4 to the latest

The support partner is asking us for an instance number? Where do i find this on version 5.4

I have asked them to reach out to cisco as we cannot do this, but just checking on here if any one else knows

AFAIK there's no such thing as an FMC "instance number". There's a unique License Key ID; but that's not associated with support per se.

Support entitlement can be verified using the service contract number - which is not tied to a specific FMC.

I would recommend you ask the partner or Cisco Account Manager for help with that. They will be the ones keeping track of the invoices so they might have the information on file.

The TAC might be able to look it up for you, but they can be difficult to deal with (in my experience) for things like this
