Cisco Registry setting on a Cisco ASA 5585-x

I have a Cisco ASA 5585-x running an older IOS. I went to upgrade the IOS and after a reload I ran the Show boot command and and it showed the New IOS but when I did the Show Version command it showed the old IOS version. I think this has to do with the Configuration Registry which is currently set as 0x1. What should the configuration setting be.

Your value (0x1) will:

Boots the image specified by the first boot system local_flash command. If that image does not load, the ASA tries to boot each image specified by subsequent boot system commands until it boots successfully.

If the image you loaded is invalid you would see the behavior you reported with the config-register set to 0x1. Can you share the image name you specified?

Also if you capture the console output during the boot process you will see which image rommon chose and why.

So it will load whatever is first in your statement correct meaning it would boot 963 first if your run=conf looked like this?
