FIREPOWER 2120 RESTORED CONFIG DOES NOT SHOW IN FTD CLI

I need help

I rstored a configuration in FPR2120, the retored config shows up in FDM but when I execute the show running-config command, it shows that there is no config on the device. all the ports apart from the management port are disabled, hense i cannot register it on smart license and i cannot do any configuration on the FDM because the licence is not enabled. there is no option of using the evaluation licence either. Is it possible to do the configs in CLI without registering the device? or is there a way i can go around this without losing my configs

Did you deploy from FDM after restoring there? Until you deploy, FDM only shows a "candidate" configuration.

When I restore the config, all interfaces are disconnected including smart
license meaning i can not do anything else. When i try to deploy, I am
prompted to first register the device on smart license

If you are logged into FDM then the management interface is not shutdown. Registration to Cisco Smart licensing requires only the management interface have Internet access.
