topic Firepower 1010 Licensing in Network Security

We have Firepower 1010 NGFW desktop appliances running firmware version 6.6.1-91. Recently and for no obvious reason, we have lost the option to register with the EU CDO instance. It was there originally because that's how we set them up, but now the option is no longer there. We have not made any firmware changes so we cannot explain why the functionality has latered

Also when we came to renew our licenses all our appliances appear to get out of sync with the (so-called) Smart Software Licensing portal.

The fix for both problems seems to be a firmware upgrade.

What's so disappointing is that no-one in Cisco seems to know how the Firepower - CDO - Smart Software portal connection actually works, and all the service desk staff are adamant that the firmware upgrade is not a fix to the problem when clearly we have proved this to be the case.

Has anybody else had similar issues with licensing or firmware suddenly changing functionality?
