Generally speaking though a new module installation is not the same as hot swap of an existing module. So I would recommend power off, insert module and then power on.</P> <P>Any recent (and even not-so-recent) FXOS will support that hardware. 2140 FXOS is embedded in the FTD csp image. 4140 FXOS is upgraded via the chassis manager and it is generally recommended to run one of the most recent versions (currently 2.10 or 2.11 latest patch).</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> Tue, 08 Feb 2022 08:06:37 GMT https://community.cisco.com/t5/network-security/firepower-network-module-installation/m-p/4547195#M1087156 Marvin Rhoads 2022-02-08T08:06:37Z
