If you are not big fan and offer your sevices to cisco and not looking new features to play with or reason to upgrade 7.1 then stay for stable version.

see the list of the features added in 7.1 (is this required and manadatory for you, then worth upgrade, if not stay as it is)

So Cisco's recommended release of FMC/FTD is 7.01

but 7.1 is available..

is there any REAL good reason to go to 7.1?

like any new features that would push someone to move to that version?

just wondering..

Thanks.

I'm liking 7.0.1 better for now since it is more of a known good version and recommended by Cisco.

Unless one of the new features is a "must have" for you, then 7.0.1 is a better choice.

as i suggested l always stick with stable known version, than fancy new versions.

Stay away from 7.1 what a pile of Alpha release dog poo. We were forced on to it by Cisco's inability to fix their bugs promptly, only to be confronted with the 7.0.1 bugs cousin, that looks like & smells like 7.0.1's bug that forced us to upgrade, but Cisco insist is NOT the same bug, honest guv 😞 Cisco are using their customers as Beta testers.

6.6.x has been dropped from Gold Star & 7.0.1 promoted to Gold Star even though I have known 7.0.1 has 2 bugs that have NOT been publicly released since January & won't be fixed until at least April 2022. Any bug that stops a firewall processing traffic without knowing it & thus requires a manual failover & reboot of the affected unit to recover from it, says their subroutine & process monitoring is pants.

Not a happy camper 😞
