Cisco FTD Serial Number not Exist on Cisco Software Manager

Hi Team,

Greetings to you all,

I have a customer with FPR 2140, Running FTD OS v6.6.5 (managed by FMCv),

when I check the Cisco Software Manager,

it's not showing the Serial Number of the FPR 2140/FTD,

it only showing the FMCv (which is because of the FMCv, it does not have a serial Number),

why is that? it's because the FMCv that connecting to the Software Manager?
*i was hoping that the FTD Serial number also showed on Software Manager, so that our customer know that their device is connected to the Software Manager

Hi,

That's normal. When you use FMC for FTD management, all licensing operations are done by FMC.

You'll only find FMC in product instances tab. FMC will request on behalf of your FTD all the required licenses.
