FMC GUI Slow Performance

Hi,

We have been experiencing extremely slow performance in the GUI of our FMC recently. It takes an age to change screens and deploy policy changes.

The management centre is on a hardware (1600) platform so the issue is not one of adequate resources in a virtual environment.

Is anyone aware of any troubleshooting guides to try and diagnose these sorts of issues? Anything I can check?

@memgtdg what version of FMC are you running? Newer versions have better performance than older versions.

Ultimately you may want to raise a TAC case to troubleshoot this further.

We are running 7.1.0, I believe that is the latest version?

Hi,

Can you look at health monitor for FMC as well to see if there are issues.?
Also, you might want to reindex the DB which health can guide you through..

Thanks, I've checked the health monitor and everything is showing as green. Do you only get to see the option to re-index the DB if an issue is identified? Or is there a way to manually kick this off?

They can manually kick it off through a built in PL script in the FMC. But
I highly recommend to contact TAC as Rob mentioned. Using wrong options
with DB rebuild can create issues.
